You may have the option of withdrawing from the travel contract free of charge:

  • A first worldwide travel warning was announced from 17.03.2020 (Federal Foreign Office). Thus, trips that took place in the respective period and were also immediately due could be canceled free of charge.
  • Travel bookings starting in 2020 and in the midst of the pandemic will be viewed in much more detail by courts. It should be noted that when booking travel in the midst of the pandemic (intensified since March 2020), it is difficult to rely on unavoidable, extraordinary circumstances. For travel bookings from 2019 for the year 2020, a pandemic was not foreseeable and thus this represents unavoidable, extraordinary circumstances. A current appeal to unavoidable, extraordinary circumstances is therefore hardly possible anymore, since the dynamics of the events were known from the media. A free cancellation is therefore only possible in individual cases.
  • Travel within the European Union is currently limited, but some regions are at risk or have changed their entry requirements (e.B. 2G, negative PCR test, etc.).
  • Please note that when booking a package holiday, unlike ordering goods online, you do not have a right of withdrawal. The reason for this is a different type of contract for travel bookings than for online orders of goods. Accordingly, cancellation fees are generally incurred, regardless of whether you declare your withdrawal a few minutes, hours, days or even many weeks before the start of the trip. Be sure to coordinate this with your tour operator in advance, if necessary, any goodwill solutions are possible.
  • For trips starting from 15.06.2020, it is important to observe the corresponding circumstances at the destination. However, there could still be the possibility of a free cancellation if at the time of travel extraordinary circumstances, e.g. a travel warning issued by the Federal Foreign Office prevails at the destination. Country-specific information can be found on the website of the Federal Foreign Office: https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/de/ReiseUndSicherheit/reise-und-sicherheitshinweise
  • Due to the corona virus, some tour operators now offer a free rebooking / cancellation (check with your tour operator)
  • If you have already cancelled your trip from 2020 as a precaution, as well as have paid cancellation costs in accordance with the GTC, so you may have the right to a full refund of your cancellation costs! Otherwise, in most cases, you are entitled to at least a partial refund. NoShow will be happy to check these claims for you.
  • Please note that wearing a mask is a restriction, but does not entitle you to withdraw free of charge. We would like to refer to the following articles: https://www.welt.de/vermischtes/article211547943/Mallorca-Urlaub-und-Maskenpflicht-Das-sind-Ihre-Rechte-als-Urlauber.html
  • If the organizer does not offer a free rebooking / cancellation, you should cancel the trip early so that you no longer have to make any further deposits or higher cancellation fees. To do this, keep an eye on the terms and conditions and cancellation fees of the organizers (increase in the package usually from 30 days before the start of the trip). In times of pandemic, it is advisable to wait until the last possible time before increasing the lump sum, as the organizer may cancel anyway. Otherwise there would be a risk that you would make further down payments (e.g. 100% of the travel price), the trip would still take place and you would not like to take it on due to safety concerns. Accordingly, the organizer’s terms and conditions canceled with costs between 30 – 90%. – NoShow can also check these cancellation costs retrospectively and demand at least a partial refund.

  • Contrary to the statements of some organizers, you also do not have to accept vouchers instead of a full refund: https://www.faz.net/aktuell/wirtschaft/ausfallende-urlaube-eu-erteilt-reise-gutscheinen-absage-16738497.html

No free cancellation possible? Insurance does not apply? Cancelled as a precaution?:

  • If a free cancellation is not possible or your insurance does not cover the costs (no insured reason), we will be happy to check your cancellation costs appropriately
  • If you have already cancelled your trip due to health concerns and paid cancellation costs, we will be happy to check the possibilities.

Cancellation fees for a package tour * are subject to legislation and are therefore bound by certain regulations.

Decisive for this is the new EU Package Travel Directive 2015/2302, as well as the judgment of the Federal Supreme Court file number X ZR 13/14.

The tour operator** has the right to cover his costs incurred by the booking / cancellation by charging a cancellation fee.

We have summarized a little help for you here: Correctly canceling your trip – tips & tricks

The cancellation fee is not always subject to incorrect calculations. However, you as a customer have the right to be informed and to request an explanation about the composition of the cancellation fee. Therefore, taking a closer look at this often pays off financially.

Please note that we can only work for you if your trip has already been canceled and cancellation fees have been paid. You must therefore have already fulfilled your contractual obligation and have already paid the cancellation fees in full or, if necessary, proportionately (e.g. only the down payment).

NoShow cannot prevent the basic collection of cancellation fees in advance, as these are usually partly legitimate.

We can not act for you if a cancellation insurance has already compensated your damage.

“>*A holiday package is an offer of a tour operator that consists of at least two components, that are charged for with one fixed price. As an example: the booking of a flight, including a hotel (i.e. round-trip flights with one week local accommodation for €600). Important for determining the scale rate, is the flat rate calculated by the tour operator.

“>** Tour operators are companiesthat combine their own services as well as services of third party providers (i.e. hotels, airlines) into touristic offers (holiday package, trips with different predefined components) and market them through catalogs (offline / online) at their own expense and risk.

Travel agencies often function only as agents of so-called holiday package tours, but can also act as a tour operator on their own. However, this is not very common.
