The tour operator often saves, for example the cost of the hotel, which makes up the largest part of the travel price, it should also reduce the general cancellation costs proportionately. for example from 80% to 45% - this often does not happen in practice. Compensation if the tour operator cancels your trip:
Unfortunately, you are not alone: You were looking forward to your package holiday, involved the whole family, and suddenly your trip was cancelled by the tour operator. There may be several reasons, but not all of them are justified! Common reasons that entitle you to compensation for wasted vacation time include: overbooked hotels, poor planning, flight cancellations, or the operator's unwillingness to book a slightly more expensive alternative for you free of charge, as well as allegedly not reaching the minimum number of participants. A cancellation several months before the start of the trip also falls into this category. In cases of overbooking or resale of your seat, you can even claim a full refund of your ticket price!
